Officials suspect arson in 3-alarm Bridgeport fire

A three-alarm fire broke out in a vacant building in Bridgeport last night, before spreading to another building.

Fire officials say the blaze occurred at around 10 p.m. Saturday on Seaview Avenue at a three-family house, which was empty at the time.

The intensity of the fire caused an adjacent house to start burning. Officials said the first house collapsed after the fire spread.

No civilians or firefighters were hurt.

Officials say the intensity of the flames makes them believe this was a case of arson.
