President Obama set to visit Stamford

President Barack Obama is set to visit Stamford tomorrow evening.

The president is visiting the city for a fundraiser in support of Attorney General Richard Blumenthal's campaign for U.S. Senate.

The event is being held at the Marriott on Tresser Boulevard and is set to begin at around 5 p.m. The general manager of the hotel, Joe Kelly, says everyone has been buzzing about the event since it was announced that the president would be attending.

Kelly says his staff has been preparing for Obama's visit for weeks and that they are expecting to draw anywhere from 500 to 600 guests.
