3 hospitalized in New Haven construction accident

Three people were hospitalized today when a beam fell at a New Haven construction site.

Investigators say a steel beam fell on top of a cherry picker at an air conditioning facility on Winchester Avenue. They say the cherry picker was holding two of the victims and they believe the beam then fell on top of the third construction worker on the ground.

OSHA has halted construction on the project until it completes its investigation.
