Police: Man stole car from Stamford dealership
An unidentified man stole a car form a Stamford dealership last month, police say, and they are asking for the public's help tracking down the suspect.
Surveillance video shows him drive off the lot at the Stamford Ford dealership on Magee Avenue on Sept. 30.
Police say the man told sales staff that he was looking for a used car. They say he picked up some keys in another room and stole a 2016 Ford Edge.
Police say the car turned up later that night at a mall in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with extensive damage.
They describe the suspect as a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build and scruffy beard. He had short-cropped hair and was wearing dark clothes.
