Police departments increase patrol officers for Halloween

Police departments throughout Connecticut increased the number of patrol officers on Monday as thousands of children hit the street for Halloween.
The crowds of trick-or-treaters on Sylvan Knoll Road were some of the biggest in Stamford.
Residents in the area say the night typically goes "pretty smoothly" with police officers monitoring the streets.
"We'll get crews in and out a little bit but like I said it's largely peaceful, I don't think we've ever had an issue," says resident, Nick Sollitto.
