Fairfield school closes due to water emergency

Fairfield officials say McKinley Elementary School will be closed for a second straight day Wednesday following an accident that affected the school's water supply.

Officials closed the school Tuesday after they say a contractor mistakenly added a chemical into the hot water boiler on Monday.

The system will have to be completely flushed before the school can reopen.

Officials say they hope to receive the results by the end of the day Wednesday. If "clean," the school will reopen Thursday.
