Small businesses, nonprofits learn how to improve practices
Small businesses and nonprofits in southwestern Connecticut got a lesson Wednesday on adapting and thriving in the current business climate.
Fairfield Library hosted a strategy program to show business leaders how to best serve their communities.
Organizers say most people now use smartphones and apps, something which many businesses and nonprofits never had to consider before.
Organizers highlighted the recent ALS Ice Bucket Challenge as an example of how social media can help raise money. As News 12 has reported, the challenge raised $100 million for ALS research, resulting in the discovery of a protein that contributes to the disease.
