Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim is celebrating one year in office and has turned his attention to a downtown revitalization project.
Ganim says the Security Building on Main Street is part of an effort to redevelop landmark buildings downtown.
He says he's committed to redoing the entire downtown from the ballpark up to Majestic Theaters.
Ganim says he hopes these other downtown buildings will be renovated within the next few years.
A new website has also been unveiled to promote transparency with the city budget.
