CT voters cast ballots in Senate, House races

After a seemingly endless campaign season, Election Day 2016 is here.

The presidential election has cast a large shadow over local contests, but Connecticut voters are also casting ballots in the races for Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as the state's House and Senate.

News 12 Connecticut was in Greenwich as U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal cast his ballot. Blumenthal is seeking a second term and is squaring off against state Rep. Dan Carter of Redding.

In the House, 4th District incumbent Rep. Jim Himes is facing Republican John Shaban.

And in the 3rd District, incumbent Rep. Rosa DeLauro is challenged by political newcomer Angel Cadena.
