Police: Man created disturbance at Bethel polling place

A man is facing charges after he created a disturbance at an election polling place, Bethel police say.

Police say they arrested Brian Mansfield on Wednesday, a day after the alleged disturbance on Election Day. According to police, Mansfield disrupted polling staff, disturbed a Girl Scout Cookie sale table and intentionally knocked over polling materials.

Police say Mansfield also spat in an officer's face when he was issued the summons and later refused to be fingerprinted.
