Metro-North approves and orders new M8 rail cars
Connecticut transportation officials say more new train cars are coming to Metro-North's New Haven Line.
They say the MTA board approved and ordered between 60 and 94 M8 rail cars.
Officials say the move will allow them to retire the last of the older cars and lengthen rush hour trains so they can carry more passengers.
They say the first of the new cars will hit the rails in about three years.
