Police seek public's help in identifying hit-and-run driver

Fairfield police say they need the public's help in identifying a driver responsible for a hit-and-run accident.

Officials responded to the crash Wednesday afternoon on Chambers Street near Johnson Drive.

According to officials, the driver of the silver Nissan Rogue blew through a stop sign, struck a vehicle in oncoming traffic, and continued on without stopping.

The driver of the opposing car was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fairfield Police Department.
