Volunteers prep Thanksgiving meal for those in need

A group of residents on South Main Street in Norwalk hosted their annual Thanksgiving Day lunch for the city's less fortunate.

The group collected donations from individuals and then hosted the lunch at the South Norwalk Community Center.

First-time volunteer Sharile Daniel, a Brien Mahon High School senior, says helping others did not feel like work, and she encourages everyone to try it.

About 200 meals were served during the lunch.

Event organizers ask anyone wanting to donate or volunteer to contact them.
