Southwestern CT shoppers take advantage of Black Friday

Thousands of people flocked to stores throughout southwestern Connecticut this Black Friday to take advantage of holiday deals.

Stores in Norwalk that had early door busters included Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us and Babies R Us. Those who headed out early said they were just looking for the greatest deals from all the stores.

According to the National Retail Federation, more than 137 million Americans plan to shop over the weekend in-store and online.

News 12 Connecticut was at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford where stores such as Forever 21 and FYE were offering large discounts.

The National Retail Federation estimates that stores will bring in $655 billion in holiday sales this year.
