'Sticks for Soldiers' lacrosse tournament raises money for veterans
Fifty-one high school lacrosse teams from across Connecticut hit the fields Saturday to raise money for wounded veterans.
The 11th annual Sticks for Soldiers tournament aimed to raise awareness of what life is like for wounded soldiers, many of whom struggle every day to get by physically and financially.
Organizers say they hope to raise more than the $150,000 they raised last year.
Anyone wanting to donate is asked to call Sticks for Soldiers.
