Police: Drug deal leads to near-fatal shooting in Stamford

Stamford police say two teenagers are facing charges following an attempted drug deal that led to a near-fatal shooting.
Police say three teens from New Britain came to Stamford to sell an ounce of marijuana to two 16-year-olds in Stamford, who then robbed them.
Police say the transaction was about to take place on Seaton Road on Stamford's East Side Sunday afternoon.
They say one of the 16-year-olds pulled out a .9mm handgun and shot one of the New Britain teens point-blank in the chest.
Police say the victim was taken to Stamford Hospital by his friends and is in stable condition. They expected to interview him Monday afternoon.
Officials also say they arrested the Stamford teens, who are now facing assault and robbery charges, and the other New Britain teens could also face charges.
