3rd burglary suspect on the run after Milford police chase
Milford police say a crash on I-95 Wednesday morning may have put an end to a long string of break-ins in the city.
Police say thieves have targeted nearly a dozen backyard sheds over the past 10 days.
Two suspects were arrested after the chase, and officials say a third suspect is still on the loose.
They say the burglaries all happened at night in the north and northwest parts of the city.
Authorities say the thieves took snowblowers, leaf blowers and generators. Police say some of the sheds were unlocked, but others showed signs of forced entry.
Police received a 911 call after observing a suspicious van at a house on Beaverbrook Road. The neighbor who called police said three men were loading items inside the van.
When police arrived at the scene, they chased the van onto I-95 where it spun out and crashed into a patrol car.
The suspects have been identified as Kelvin Quintero and Noel Figueroa-Flores, both 20 years old. They were charged with larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny, conspiracy to commit burglary and interfering with arrest.
Quintero is being held on $225,500 bond. Figueroa is being held on $210,500 bond.
The third suspect is described as a Hispanic or white man in his 20s, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Investigators believe he may be in New Haven.
