The trial is now underway for a Bridgeport man accused of murdering a construction worker.
Police say Gregory Weathers shot Jose Araujo at a construction site on Chopsey Hill Road in 2015.
Investigators say Weathers did not know the victim and shot him just minutes after asking him for a job.
The Connecticut Post newspaper says Weathers has maintained he is suffering from a mental disease or defect which is an insanity defense.
