Yankees GM rappels from Stamford building
Santa Claus and his helpers are expected to be high above Stamford this weekend for a daring holiday display.
A group of people spent this morning rappelling down the 22-story Landmark Building.
News 12 is told it was all part of the preparations for the city's annual Heights and Lights Festival at Landmark Square this weekend.
Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman says he is joining the holiday daredevils once again this year.
Cashman says he's rappelled about 100 times, but it wasn't always easy for him.
Santa and crew will rappel this Sunday at 5 p.m., though people are encouraged to come early for music and festivities.
There will also be a tree lighting.
