Bridgeport mayor helps fix hole in community's fence
A group of Bridgeport residents thanked News 12 Connecticut Saturday for helping them get a problem fixed which they say was putting their kids in danger.
The residents contacted News 12 Friday, saying that people were cutting holes in their fence at the Third Stone Ridge Community on Karen Court.
They say drug dealers were passing through and that school children were using the hole in the fence to gain access in a way that they should not be.
News 12 Connecticut reached out to Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim, who visited the community Saturday with the city's Public Works group to temporarily repair the fence.
Ganim also promised the residents that there will be a permanent fix as well.
