Police on lookout for driver behind fatal hit-and-run

A search is underway for the driver who hit and killed 19-year-old Ishmael Colon in Bridgeport.



Friends and family of the Bridgeport teen who died in the hit-and-run crash are asking for the public's help in solving the case.



Colon graduated from Bullard Havens Technical High School and was planning to be a chef.



Officials say a gray or silver SUV struck the teen as he crossed at Washington Avenue and Pequonnock Street around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.



Police are looking for surveillance video that may have captured the crime in progress.



Police are asking anyone with information on the hit-and-run to immediately call them.
