New Canaan PD: Recent burglaries have similar pattern

New Canaan police believe the same suspects are behind three recent home burglaries in the town.

Police have been searching for the suspects since Dec. 10, when they say the men committed burglaries on Gower and Rosebrook roads.

They say the same suspects may also be responsible for other burglaries in Fairfield County.

In each of the burglaries, authorities say the suspects force a side or back door open, then ransack the bedrooms in search of jewelry.

Neither home had house alarms turned on, but one of the burglaries was caught on a surveillance camera.

Police suggest hiding valuables and to make sure documents like passports and Social Security cards aren't out in the open.

News 12 is told that passports were stolen in one of the burglaries.
