CT college students gather to watch inauguration

Southwestern Connecticut college students gathered at inauguration watch events Friday afternoon.

Students at Fairfield University gathered to watch Donald Trump be sworn in as 45th president and to support one another during the historic moment. Some were more optimistic about Trump's presidency than others.

While there is a great divide among college students and their political opinions, many of these students will be graduating under his watch and are looking to him to create jobs.

"We will follow two simple rules: buy American and hire American," President Trump said in his remarks.
