Stubborn sheet of frozen snow remains on some roads

It was a frustrating morning for commuters in Bridgeport Friday, one day after a major snowstorm.

Many Bridgeport residents say their streets are still treacherous following yesterday's snowstorm, despite the hard work of snow plow operators. Officials say this is because of the type of snow that the storm brought on Thursday.

City officials say plow operators have been working around the clock to make sure the roads are properly cleared.

Plow operators focus on primaries roads, then secondary, and rotate into a scheduled routine.

And while the streets have been plowed, the roads can still be dangerous due to the heavy wet snow that was compressed by traffic.
