Stamford car break-ins caught on surveillance camera
A series of car break-ins struck a neighborhood in Stamford early Tuesday morning.
The break-ins happened on De Bera Lane, which only has a few houses on its cul-de-sac.
"The car is 4 feet in front of your front door, so it's a little unnerving," says neighbor Erin McHugh. She says her husband's car was ransacked, with the center console and glove box ripped out.
Another neighbor told News 12 that his surveillance cameras caught the two suspects going through the cars.
He says he turned the footage over to Stamford police, who are investigating the matter.
