Stamford man celebrates 102nd birthday

A Stamford man is celebrating his 102nd birthday today.

Dr. Wilbur Miller lives at the Edgehill Senior Residence.

Miller says he achieved his doctorate in chemistry from Columbia University, and discovered the drug Diamox, which is still used today for altitude sickness.

He says he keeps his mind stimulated by reading the New York Times each day.

Miller also says longevity runs in his family.

He also founded The World Affairs Forum in 1946, a non-profit organization in Stamford dedicated to educating people on global issues.
