9/11 memorial vandalized in Greenwich

A Sept. 11 memorial bench dedicated to a local businessman was found vandalized in Greenwich.
The bench, located in Pomerance Park in the Cos Cob section of town, is dedicated to Joe Lenihan, who was in the South Tower during the World Trade Center attack.
Regular park-goers tell News 12 Connecticut that they started seeing changes in the bench back in March. This past week, they noticed cuts in the wood and found parts of the bench had been removed.
Residents say they are disappointed to see the memorial and Lenihan's memory disrespected.
