Fairfield PD looks for ways to increase lake safety after drowning

Fairfield police say they are looking into ways to increase lake safety after a 10-year-old girl drowned in Lake Mohegan Tuesday night.
Catherine Celina Perez Trujillo was swimming with her family in the north side of the lake when she slipped out of her mother's grasp, going under water near the cascades. Police say the family was swimming in an area that is off limits to swimmers.
News 12 Connecticut is told police are currently working with town officials to put up new signage that is more clear.
