Norwalk makes drag racing arrests

Norwalk police say they broke up a planned drag race on Route 7.

Police say they spotted at least six cars blocking off the road near midnight Tuesday night.

When the officer turned on his lights and siren, all the cars sped away but police managed to chase down one.

They say his Honda Civic had been stripped and modified for racing.

Police say the driver is facing multiple charges including reckless driving.

There was a passenger in the car from Stamford who was given a ticket for not wearing a seat belt.
