Police believe coyotes may be to blame for the dead cats that have shown up in Fairfield.A cat head and the body of a mangled kitten were found on Steiner Street only one day apart. Resident Mark Pires says that he found the detached cat head on a putting green when he came outside to play a game of golf. The mutilated kitten was found in a yard across the street the next day.
