Stamford woman accused of leaving children alone speaks to News 12

The Stamford woman facing criminal charges for allegedly leaving her kids inside her apartment all night unattended spoke exclusively with News 12 Connecticut today.
Sindy Cameros-Perez says she asked someone to watch her children at her Fairfield Avenue apartment and that person took off, calling the police on her. The 29-year-old now says that the Department of Children and Families has taken away her children.
Cameros-Perez says she left home late Saturday night to go to work. She says she returned Sunday morning to find police with her four kids, ages 7 to 12.
Investigators say the children were left alone for more than eight hours in the apartment. However, Cameros-Perez claims the situation is a misunderstanding.
The mother now faces charges of risk of injury to a minor and is expected back in court on July 19.
