A Shelton woman is being charged with manslaughter and assault in the death of a man in a car accident last summer. Bridgeport police say Amanda Brooks, 22, was under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Woman arrested in fatal Bridgeport crash
A Shelton woman is being charged with manslaughter and assault in the death of a man in a car accident last summer.
Bridgeport police say Amanda Brooks, 22, was under the influence of drugs or alcohol in June 2011 when she crashed into Darnell Cooks, 26.
Investigators say Brooks was racing on Boston Avenue moments before the crash and drove around a police car.
