Norwalk names new police chief

Norwalk Mayor Dick Moccia announced the city has named a new police chief.

Deputy Chief Thomas Kulhawik was promoted today at a special meeting held by the Norwalk Board of Police Commissioners.

Kulhawik is a 29-year veteran and has been the acting police chief since former Police Chief Harry Rilling's retirement in June.

Kulhawik officially starts the position on July 11.
