After surviving a nearly fatal stomach injury about several years ago, Amy Oestreicher, of Westport, is taking her story to the stage with a one-woman show called "Gutless and Grateful."
Oestricher, who has undergone 24 surgeries since then, wants to use her play as a way to bring humor to a nearly deadly situation.
Her play will end next Friday, and the following week she will undergo her final stomach surgery.
