Wilton man charged with assaulting officers found not guilty

A Wilton man accused of trying to assault two Norwalk police officers has been found not guilty of the crime.

Officers say 53-year-old Stanley Mulvey lunged at them with a knife when they showed up to break up an argument between Mulvey and his ex-girlfriend in 2010.

Court officials say that while a jury found Mulvey not guilty of assault on the officers, he was found guilty of interfering with an officer. Norwalk man charged with attempted murder of an officer
