A Redding man says a nearby infrastructure project has dried up his outdoor well.

John Matarazzo, who has been without running water since yesterday, blames a state-funded construction project for the damage. Just up the road from his home is a new bridge crossing the tracks along the Simpaug Turnpike. The bridge has been under construction since late last year.

Matarazzo says the water pressure has been coming and going ever since drilling for the $3.1 million project began last December. He also says the well is his only water source.

Calls to the construction company and the Department of Transportation have led to a lot of finger pointing, according to Matarazzo.

A representative for state Sen. Toni Boucher told News 12 Connecticut that the senator?s office does not know how to prove who or what is responsible for the situation.
