First night of the DNC closes with first lady address

The Democratic National Convention officially opened Tuesday evening in Charlotte, N.C.
Among the speakers was Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, who took part in a segment dedicated to Women of the U.S. House of Representatives. She spoke about how women are under-represented, and under-served.
First lady Michelle Obama was the final speaker tonight. Gov. Dannel Malloy is scheduled to speak Wednesday night at 6:45 p.m.
