Power restored to hundreds in Fairfield

It was a rough start to Labor Day for nearly 700 people in Fairfield who spent the morning without power.
Authorities say a fallen tree damaged a power line near Villa Avenue and Tunxis Hill Cutoff, causing several traffic lights to stop working in the area.
A tree removal company said it was in the area during the outage, and the downed wires made it hard to complete its task.
Power has now been restored to the area.
