Tracking Sandy: Latest forecast
Hurricane Sandy will be making landfall Monday evening in southern New Jersey, with effects being felt here in Connecticut.
News 12 Connecticut Meteorologist Lauren Collier says the storm will make landfall between 7 and 11 p.m. on Monday, bringing flooding and wind gusts up to 85 mph with it. Storm surges near the coast are expected to be between six and 11 feet high.
Rain will develop late tonight, with the wind picking up as well. Cloudy skies from Hurricane Sandy are expected to linger until Thursday.
