Firefighters recover after 3-alarm Stamford blaze

Two firefighters are recovering today after a three-alarm fire in Stamford destroyed a dry cleaning shop yesterday evening.
The fire began just after 11 p.m. at Commuter Dry Cleaners on Cove Road.
Officials report that six engine companies were dispatched to help quell the flames. Authorities say the flames spread so quickly that fire went from one-alarm to three-alarm within 20 minutes.
Firefighters were able to contain the blaze, but three attached buildings sustained smoke and heat damage.
