Bridgeport schools probe SAT testing ID issue
Bridgeport school officials are looking into how 20 students were turned away from taking the SAT on Saturday over a lack of proper ID.
The students say they were turned away because their school-issued IDs were not from this year. The students claim they had not been issued new IDs this year.
The district says it will ensure all students have up-to-date IDs and that it will pay for the students to take the November seating of the exam.
The College Board, which administers the SAT, recently beefed up identification rules in response to cheating scandals.
