Rep. Murphy, Linda McMahon square off in 1st Senate debate

Rep. Chris Murphy (D) and his Republican opponent Linda McMahon exchanged sharp criticisms as they squared off in their first senatorial debate today. Today's heated debate involved both candidates accusing the other of lying to the Connecticut people. The main talking points revolved around job plans, taxes and social security. Polls have Murphy and McMahon in a statistical dead heat, though McMahon has gained momentum in likeability among voters. The two will face off again in their second debate on Thursday.
