Milford woman says baby goods store is wasting items
A Milford woman is speaking out this evening against a baby goods consignment shop she claims is wasting perfectly good merchandise that could be donated to families in need.
Christina Stelnach says she found relatively new baby-friendly items in the trash behind Once Upon a Child.
Stelnach says the store promised to donate unsold goods, but is going against their word. She showed News 12 Connecticut a brand new bassinet and gently used baby walking toy that she says she pulled out of the dumpster.
A manager for Once Upon a Child says they throw away odd pieces and broken toys, but do donate to a local church and at least one preschool.
