Norwalk woman turns self in after fatal Weston crash
A Norwalk woman turned herself in to police today months after a car accident she was involved in left a woman dead in Weston. Authorities say Cindy Rivera, 20, faces a charge of criminally negligent homicide in the death of Emily Smith, 85. They say the crash occurred last May on Route 53 and was caused by Rivera's reckless driving. Rivera's bond was reduced from $50,000 to $10,000, and she has been freed this evening. Her next court date is in November.
