Officials: Fatal Greenwich fire started in the kitchen

Fire officials say yesterday's fatal fire in Greenwich started in the home's kitchen.
Town of Greenwich Fire Marshal Jim McDonald says the fire at the corner of Havermeyer Lane and MacArthur Drive has been ruled an arson. McDonald added that he is unsure who may have started the fire.
The fire claimed the life of 42-year-old Dean Verboven and has left his mother, 69-year-old Barbara Verboven, in critical condition at Bridgeport Hospital's burn unit.
Investigators say that firefighters encountered difficulties maneuvering through the home because of numerous stacked boxes and clutter throughout the house.
