3 Westport students expelled for bringing drugs to school

Westport school officials say three Staples High School students have been expelled for up to one year after the teens were caught with marijuana-laced brownies.

Staples Principal John Dodig said in an email sent to parents that two separate incidents had occurred over two months.

In the email, Dodig voiced his concerns to parents telling them bringing drugs into school cannot be tolerated.

Dodig says they have not yet determined when the students will be allowed to return to school. He says for some it will be less than a year, but the expulsion would be reinstated if they make another big mistake.
