Walking tour of Pleasure Beach unveiled
Bridgeport officials have unveiled a new historic walking tour of Pleasure Beach.
Mayor Bill Finch said that the city will put up more than 20 plaques to tell the story of the island park.
Finch said that the story will range from how the island became a part of Bridgeport in 1892, to Frank Sinatra's performance there in 1952 and to the fire that damaged the bridge to the beach in 1996.
The beach reopened last year.
Pleasure Beach opens for the season on Memorial Day weekend.
