Milford holds parade, wreath laying to honor fallen vets

Civilians joined the ranks of men and women in uniform who died in the armed services with a parade and wreath-laying ceremony Sunday in Milford.
"I think it's so important that our young people learn about who their veterans are," said Tom Flowers, of Milford.
Observers marched through downtown Milford and ended up at the town green.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal commented on the Memorial Day proceedings, saying, "My heart goes out to the memories and the loved ones of the men and woman who have given their lives on the battlefield."
