Fairfield community prays for teen critically hurt in crash

Friends and family gathered Thursday at Congregation Bethel in Fairfield to pray for a teen critically injured in a crash.

Police say 19-year-old Lee Faiga was the passenger in a Jeep that crashed into a utility pole on Knapps Highway. Faiga and the 17-year-old driver had just left Fairfield Warde High School.

Francis Mirabile was sitting during a free period at school when he says he heard a loud noise. Students say it is so sad since the prom is just days away.

Police say the driver was released from the hospital. Faiga is at Yale New Haven Hospital.
