Man shot in Stamford
Police say a man shot in the ankle Thursday night suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police say two men ambushed a group of nearly 20 people at Ludlow and Pacific streets around 9 p.m. One person was hit.
Neighbor Jenny Spyropoulos says the shooting gave her flashbacks to another incident on the same street.
Spyropoulos says that bullets came through the wall of her home and hit her bed two years ago.
Police say the area is a known hotspot for violence, drinking and gambling.
Investigators are looking for an older model white Nissan that was seen fleeing the area.
They say the victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
